Our prices are "all inclusive" meaning that the paint/glaze and firing is included in the per piece price. For those of you who are used to a studio fee, we do not have this charge. Our price also includes the bisque of your choice, use of our idea books, stencils, stamps, brushes, supplies, paper towels, studio, firing and as much help as you ask for (as long as you still do the painting). The only time there are extra charges are for specialty glazes or custom paint work.

1. Pick out your project from hundreds of items ranging from plates and bowls to planters, banks, figurines, Disney bisque and more! We'll find you a place to sit, set you up with brushes, water, paper towels, sponges and instructions.

2. Look over our creative idea booklets, check out our studio samples (take them back to your table if you’d like, ask us how it’s done) or use your imagination for the most original ideas.
3.  Pick out the colors of glaze (paint) you want to use from the Color Cabinet and take them back to your table. We help the first time, but then you get to pick your own. We do ask that you only take one bottle of a color per table so there's plenty to go around.
4. Squeeze out a small amount of glaze onto your pallet. Adults, please help the younger kiddies to minimize paint accidents (oops!) We can always pour more glaze out if we need to, but we can’t put it back in the bottle.
5. Brush, stencil or stamp your design ideas onto the bisque. You should ask for help if you've never played wtih these techniques/tools before...we want you to do the very best you possibly can. Don't worry if you make a "mistake" just give a staff member the heads up and we can help you fix it. Remember -- it's not permanent until it's fired!

NOTE: Glaze colors look very chalky and sometimes not even close to the “real” color before they are fired.

6. Paint your name, initials or a symbol that is uniquely yours on the bottom of the bisque.
7. Ask staff to write your ticket up and pay for your item. Make sure you tell the clerk how you marked the bottom of the bisque so they know which one is yours after firing it in kiln.

8. Find out what date you can come back to pick your masterpiece up (usually 7 days later).

Don't forget to pick up a Frequent Fire Card to use the next time you come in – for every $10 spent you get a stamp.  Fill your card for $10 off your next visit!  It's a great deal.  Please, no combining with other offers or discounts and not for use for parties or events.

GLASS FUSING

It's easy -- remember when you were in grade school and the teacher gave you a sheet of white paper, then five or six sheets of colored construction paper? If you wanted to make a house you would cut one color in a triangle for the roof, another color in a square for the house, and maybe another for the door. Then you might cut out a big circle for a tree out of green, then a tree trunk out of brown. When you were all done you would glue the pieces down and ta-da, you had a picture. The idea is exactly the same except now we use glass.

Children under 9 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Glass is sharp and cuts, while rare, can occur. While glass projects are very beautiful, caution and safety at the glass table is paramount.

1. Get a brief overview of the design elements available for your use as well as instructions on scoring, cutting and nipping glass.

2. Decide the size of the piece you want to create. Our glass is sold by the "base" piece size.

3. Determine your design - use paper and pencil to create if needed.

4. Using frit, glass pieces, cut-outs and cutting your own shapes place your design on the "base" piece of glass. (Don't add frit until after step 4.)

5. After you are completely satisfied with your design, use glue to adhere the design pieces to your "base.

6. Have staff write up your sales ticket and pay for your item.

SLUMP FIRE:  If you would like your glass to be flat, no slump fire is needed.  If you would like to create a plate, votive, bowl or other shape from your glass a second firing is required.  Be sure to pick your shape before leaving the studio -- slump fire is FREE on Wednesdays.

Glass typically has a seven day turn around, but if you require a second fire (for slumping) it may be more than one week.  Be sure to ask your clerk.
